Jean Hartley Petitpain, 96, passed away on July 20, 2018.Beloved wife of the late Murry Edward Petitpain. Mother of Cheryl P. Farris (Roger), Donald W. Petitpain, Sr., and the late Murry E. Petitpain, Jr.
Daughter of the late Dr. Mark L. Hartley and the late Entis Page Hartley.
Sister of the late Bettye H. Craig. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, Amy Cuevas (Stephen), Andrew (Laura Carlisle) and Amanda Farris, Donald Petitpain, Jr. (Elizabeth Crabtree), Jason (Debbie) and David Petitpain (Camy Guerara). Great granddaughters, Katie and Emma Petitpain, Anna Beth Crabtree, and Julia Cuevas. Great grandson, Alexander Cuevas.Jean was a native of Alexandria, Louisiana and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for 76 years. Recently, she was a resident of Mandeville, Louisiana since 2001 and was a founding member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Metairie.
The family wishes to thank the staffs of both St. Tammany Parish Hospital Hospice and Heritage Manor of Mandeville.
A private service was held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. A graveside service followed at Metairie Cemetery.

Mary Kathryn Caliva "Kit" Petitpain
Petitpain, Mary Kathryn Caliva "Kit" A loving wife, mother and homemaker, she died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Friday, Jan. 7. She was 54. Mrs. Petitpain was born in New Orleans and formerly lived in Baton Rouge for 24 years and in Covington for four years. She was a member of North Cross United Methodist Church, Louisiana Master Gardeners, North Park Book Club and North Park Garden Club. Kit was the loving wife of Donald Wayne Petitpain, and the mother of Donald Wayne Petitpain Jr., Jason Douglas Petitpain and his wife, Deborah Wittkopf Petitpain, and David Jeffrey Petitpain. Other survivors include her mother, Vera May Caliva of Harahan; sister, Terry Caliva Boyer of River Ridge; three brothers, Francis "Cal" Caliva Jr. of San Antonio, Bruce Caliva of River Ridge and Kevin Caliva of New Orleans; two brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m. at St. Timothy's Methodist Church, 335 Asbury Drive, Mandeville. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Parking is available at the shopping center across the street. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to North Cross United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 340, Madisonville, LA 70447, to be used for a memorial garden in Kit's name. E.J.
