In March 18, 1921 Graceville newspaper, Obituary for George Ganley - was born 79 years ago at Longford Island, Ireland and was married in the old country to Marcella Nelly. He came to this country during the Civil war and lived at various times in New York, Bloomington, MN, Bowbells, ND, Shunavon, Canada and Harbor Springs, Mich., at which latter place his death occurred on March 5th, of ailments incident to old age. He is survived by four sons, Frank, William, George and Patrick, all of whom live in Canada, and two daughters, Helen, who lives in Portland, Oregon and Mrs. J. A. McDonnell of Graceville, MN. His funeral was held here last Friday morning from Holy Rosary Church, Rev. Kennedy officiating. (A card of thanks was also in the paper "to those who so kindly assisted us during the funeral of our father, the late George Ganley, we wish to express our most sincere thanks. Mrs. J. A. George ganly was born in carrickedmond parish on 1/9/1841 to parents JohnGanly and Margaret Duignan. He married Marcella Nally also in Carrickedmond on 29/4/1862 and they had one daughter Margaret on 11/11/1862.
